BOOSH is a "high quality" accredited, Out Of School Hours centre and recent recipient of an honour award for excellence. It is located on the grounds of Blackheath Public School. All staff are dedicated and highly motivated to give the children the best possible time at BOOSH. The staff are experienced and passionate about working with children and love their job at BOOSH.

BOOSH provides a daily program of activities, sport, drama, craft, art and games. We also provide a healthy afternoon tea. The program is developed to stimulate the children’s artistic, aesthetic and physical development. The participation in the activities is voluntary, as we strongly believe in an emerging curriculum, which allows the children to take their own initiative. Their stay at BOOSH is during the children’s free time after a long school day, so it is important that they can decide what they want to do.

The atmosphere among children and also among children and staff is respectful and caring. We have no bullying and we all enjoy the time together.

All staff and volunteers go through a police check before starting at BOOSH and our volunteers are always working with a staff member.

We provide an Active After Schools Program. The aim is to introduce the children to a fun and healthy lifestyle. These sports programs run for one hour and are fun, inclusive, highly active and are safe for all participating children. Children who don’t want to take part in the sport program can do something else under supervision from staff.

BOOSH is a bridge between the school and home. It is a friendly, happy and safe place. Please feel free to take part in programming and express your ideas as a parent. We will do everything in our power to make sure that your child/ren and you as parents are happy at BOOSH. Please come to us and talk to our staff and pick up a Family Handbook for further information.

It is wise to enrol your child at BOOSH, even if you do not plan to use our service. If you cannot pick up your child on time due to unforeseen circumstances, you can phone the school and BOOSH to book your child in at short notice. If you do not enrol your child, we cannot help if you urgently need to use the service, as every child at BOOSH must be properly pre enrolled.

We are happy to pick your child up from their classroom until they can manage to walk independently to BOOSH themselves.

BOOSH FEES
$ 17.00 per day and child for permanent bookings.
$ 20.00 per day and child for casual bookings.

Each family will get their income assessed under the Child Care Benefits (CCB) Scheme and most families get a rebate on this fee, depending on their income and family situation. Fees can be reduced to as low as $8.90 per day. Please contact the Family Assistance Office on 13 61 50

BOOKINGS
Parents/guardians can book and cancel bookings through phoning our mobile number 0438 099 006. Parents are also welcome to visit us at BOOSH to make or change a booking.

BOOSH is open every school day Monday to Friday between 3-6 pm.
